General statement from AOSM and Sports Plus Physical Therapy
With the emergence of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we are closely monitoring information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as state and local health authorities. As with any newly emerging infectious disease, knowledge evolves with time and recommendations are changing rapidly. We will share resources and updates on this page as the situation develops.
We understand that many people have concerns. The websites below can provide you with more information on COVID-19 and precautions you can take. We encourage you to visit these sites to learn more.
AOSM And SPPT clinics are open and continue to serve our patients. We have educated our staff and are practicing additional hygiene and cleaning practices to ensure our clinics remain community safe. This includes:
- Frequent hand washing practices
- Cough and sneeze etiquette
- Common areas, treatment rooms, gym spaces and equipment will be frequently cleaned
- Hand sanitizer will be made available at all clinics
- Therapeutic Associates staff and team members are asked to stay home when ill
If you feel sick
The safety of staff and patients is our highest priority. COVID-19 is a virus that is believed to spread in similar ways as the common cold or flu, such as when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Symptoms include fever, cough and difficulty breathing. If you are a current patient and are experiencing any of these symptoms, we ask that you contact your clinic by PHONE and reschedule your appointment. We are waiving any late cancellation fees for illness-related cancellations.
The CDC has the most current information about the virus, including everything you need to know about how the virus spreads, how it’s treated, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you get sick. Stay on top of the latest by visiting the CDC website, which is being updated frequently.
